讲座摘要:

Electrolytes, functioning as the blood of lithium/sodium batteries, not only bear the crucial responsibility of ion transport but also play a significant role in establishing the electrode-electrolyte interphases formed on the surface of the anode and cathode. The performance of the interphase significantly influences the cycling lifespan and safety of batteries, yet its characterization remains a notable challenge. Among the various methods for material characterization, solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (SSNMR) spectroscopy can provide quantitative and qualitative information for characterizing the local structures and microscopic ionic dynamics of materials. It has been widely employed to study the fundamental properties of electrode materials, solid electrolytes, and electrode-electrolyte interphases. These investigations contribute to a deeper understanding of the lithium/sodium storage mechanism, the structure-function relationship, and the aging mechanism of batteries. In this talk, I will introduce the recent progress in applying SSNMR to research on the solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) in batteries. Through our investigation, we have thoroughly discussed the formation mechanism, chemical components, and structural evolution of the SEI, as well as the design principles for electrolytes. These results hold significant importance for both fundamental comprehension and practical applications.
